Balancing Relationships Within the Body's Inner Ecology

The human body only has two natural enemies - rust and mold.

Rusting - more accurately known as “oxidation” - deprives the body of critical electrons needed to produce cellular energy, and also creates cascades of free radicals that damage our cells. Mold - a type of microscopic fungus - invades the body’s tissues, triggers massive immune system stress, creates toxic metabolic products and generates chemicals that destroy otherwise healthy cells.

But according to a number of innovative researchers including Dr. Gunther Enderlein (1872 - 1968), several mold fungi are actually natural partners of the human body. Depending upon the conditions they find within our inner ecology, they can either contribute to our natural condition of health, or, under dysfunctional circumstances, they can shift to become deadly destroyers. This effect is known as microbial pleomorphism.

The biology of pleomorphism is still a controversial subject. However, a special type of remedy developed by Dr. Enderlein and his contemporaries has proven remarkably useful in reversing the damaging influences of these molds and their associated bacterial, viral, and sub-cellular elements. They are called “Isopathic” remedies. Different Isopathic remedies target the imbalances caused by different species of micro-organisms including well-known molds such as Candida albicans, but also, other less well-known species such as Mucor racemosus, Aspergillus niger, and Penicillium roqueforti. In our experience, many individuals who believe they are struggling with a Candida challenge often show much more severe imbalances due to one or more of these other, critically important microbes. Addressing these influences in the proper sequence and with the proper remedies can often help rebalance even the most persistent conditions.

Enderlein’s Theory of Isopathic Therapy

In 1916, while studying the bacterium that causes typhus, Enderlein observed something remarkable. Looking at the blood of an infected patient through a special microscope, he watched a tiny structure - one that would normally be invisible, even with the microscope - as it coupled to a typhus bacterium. To Enderlein’s surprise, following the coupling, the bacterium instantly vanished!

Over the next 10 years, Enderlein was able to map the life processes of these special structures and showed how they balance the body’s inner terrain by breaking down potentially disease causing microbes. Building on the work of other leading biologists of the time, Enderlein was able to develop a class of remedy that stimulates the body’s ability to produce these natural healing agents. Since these remedies control harmful growth within their own species, he coined the term isopathic (iso = same, path = pathogen).

EcoBiotics and Isopathic Terrain Therapy

Because of their unique ability to directly adjust ecological relationships within our bodies, isopathic remedies form the core of EcoBiotic Therapy. While most practitioners rely on muscle testing or symptom checklists to select the appropriate isopathics, we use a more precise method called DIAD Ecological Blood Analysis. The beauty of this method is that by mixing isopathic remedies with the blood, we can directly observe the various reactions that take place. By comparing these reactions, we can determine with great precision which remedies will be most helpful, and select a remedy sequence that will be most effective.
